Follow these instructions to upgrade your IFS SmartFreight®
1.
Log in
to SmartFreight® as normal
2.
Select
Help from the tool bar then Repair Installation and then the last option Open
Server Directory. This will open a pop up showing the directory where the
database is stored and the Upgrades folder.
3.
Click on
the file SFSP198.zip below and select save. Save it to somewhere you will be
able to find it easily like your desktop. Note the file is large and will take
a few minutes to copy.
4.
Once the
file has finished copying right click on it and select Extract
All. Follow the onscreen prompts noting carefully where you save the extracted
files. This will extract 3 files to a sub directory SFSP198.
5.
Once
they have finished extracting locate the SFSP198 directory you have created and
open the SFSP198 directory and copy the 3 files (SFSP198.CAB, sf_sp1.sfu and updates.sfu) to the Upgrades folder from step 2.
6.
Then
select Help / Repair Installation and Force Updates. This will log you out of
SmartFreight® and run the updates.
7.
Once
they have finished running log in to SmartFreight®. It may state that there are
new updates. Click OK.
8.
Log in
again and you will have completed the update.
9.
Note: On
first log in after the update it may prompt you for the folder locations. These will be highlighted in red. Simply
select Import Settings from the right hand side. Browse to your company folder
usually located C://program files/SmartFreight Server/yourcompanyname
and click on the defaults.sfq file. Select save and
it will import the settings. Select Confirm changes and exit. Your system is
now upgraded.
