Label Printing

Most likely you will find that the printer is set to Letter instead of A4.
To check this and correct select Setup and then Print Margins from the Main Menu bar on the left.
Click on the Print Test Labels button.

When the print page opens check that the Document size matches the Paper size. They should both be 8.3 x 11.7 in.

If they do not match click on the Properties button for your printer.

In the Paper/Output dropdown change the Paper Size from Letter to A4 as shown.

Click on OK twice. The Document size and the Paper size should now match 8.3 x 11.7 in.
Click OK to print and the labels should now align up with the physical label.
You should only have to set this up once and it will be retained for future printouts.
Fastway Labels

SmartFreight® Express uses pop ups to warn of low stock levels. Your firewall, browser or other software may be preventing these from showing. You will need to allow pop ups from the www.smartfreightexpress. website address if you want to receive these low stock warnings. You may get a message bar like this. ‘Pop-up blocked. To see this pop-up or additional options click here…’ Click on this bar for more options.

Select ‘Always Allow Pop-ups From This Site…’

Note: Other pop-up blockers may require different action to allow the pop-ups from this site and you should consult your in house IT person for more help with this if required. EG Google or Yahoo toolbars can stop pop-ups.
SmartFreight® Express comes with a all labels set to a low stock warning of 50. There may be
a number of labels that you are not using so you you
will need to reset these warning levels to zero. To do this select Fastway then

Set any labels that you are not using to a low stock warning of zero. Set the rest to a realistic level depending on your usage. We recommend 2 to 3 days worth to avoid running out. This should give you enough time to reorder and receive the new stock.
Stock showing negative quantities indicate that you have created consignments requiring these labels but you have had no stock of that label. A substitute was applied so that these consignments could be sent. It is recommended that you purchase labels of this type to avoid being overcharged as the substitute label (normally the most expensive label you have in stock) may be a higher price than the label it is replacing or the system may require 2 labels to make up the price of the label it is replacing. Please contact your local Fastway depot should you require more labels.
Note: Negative stock levels do not mean that you owe anything. It is only an indication that you are shipping to areas that require this type of label and that you may want to purchase them to avoid using a substitute label.

Whenever you run out of a certain label and then try to ship to that area SmartFreight Express will use your Substitute label instead to make up the price to allow you to continue shipping.
So if your substitute label is set to White and you run out of local labels (say Brown) and then try to ship to a local destination the system will use 1 white label instead. A white label is more expensive than a Brown label so only 1 label is required. It is obviously cheaper to have stock of the appropriate labels for the areas that you ship to.
The substitute label is an emergency option to allow you ship even when you have no stock of a label and should not be used routinely.
If you run out of a higher price label like
a Grey label which is for Highlands and
